Tchadas Leo

Tchadas Leo is an award-winning Indigenous media maker and journalist whose work centres Indigenous voice, culture, and community-led storytelling. Of Homalco (Xwémalhkwu) and Stillaguamish ancestry and raised on Vancouver Island, Tchadas brings a grounded, relational perspective to storytelling and systems change.

As host and producer of Our Native Land on CHEK Media and a multimedia reporter with CHEK News, his work explores Indigenous culture, land, food, language, and identity through dialogue rooted in listening and trust. His reporting has been nationally recognized for elevating community realities with care and integrity.

As a member of the Strategy Council, Tchadas contributes insight at the intersection of media, Indigenous partnership, and narrative responsibility — helping shape projects that value truth, relationship, and long-term impact.
